What is a chip conveyor?
A chip conveyor is an auxiliary device specially used for collecting, conveying and processing metal chips. Common types include chain plate type, scraper type, magnetic chip conveyor, etc. It can automatically clean the chips out of the working area, avoid chip accumulation, and improve the automation level and processing efficiency of the lathe.

Advantages of installing a chip conveyor on a lathe

1. Improve processing efficiency: A large amount of iron chips will be generated during lathe processing, and manual cleaning is time-consuming and laborious, while the chip conveyor can automatically remove the chips, keep the working area clean, and improve the production rhythm.

2. Protect the tool and workpiece: If the chips are retained on the workbench, they may scratch the surface of the workpiece and even affect the cutting effect of the tool. The chip conveyor can effectively reduce the loss and improve the processing quality.

3. Extend the life of the equipment: If the iron chips enter the precision parts such as the guide rail or screw, it may cause the equipment to wear or even jam. The chip conveyor can prevent the chips from entering the key parts, thereby extending the service life of the lathe.

4. Reduce labor costs: Traditional manual cleaning methods require frequent shutdowns, while chip conveyors can work continuously around the clock, reducing manual operations and improving the degree of automation.
