I. Project Background

Amidst increasingly fierce competition in the manufacturing industry, a Turkish client's machining industry faces numerous challenges, including rising labor costs, the urgent need to improve production efficiency, and the need to enhance product quality consistency. Traditional manual machine tool loading and unloading is not only inefficient but also, due to human factors, makes it difficult to ensure consistent product quality. To overcome these bottlenecks and automate their production processes, the Turkish client decided to introduce an advanced industrial robotics solution. After extensive research and evaluation, the client ultimately selected SZGH's SZGH-B1500-C-6 robot to perform loading and unloading operations alongside their machine tools.


II. Project Requirements Analysis


High Efficiency Requirements: The client expected the new loading and unloading system to significantly improve production efficiency and meet growing order demand. Calculations indicated that the loading and unloading time for a single batch of parts needed to be reduced by at least 50%.


High Precision Requirements: The parts being processed are made of 45-gauge steel, requiring extremely high precision. The robot's positioning accuracy during loading and unloading must reach ±0.02mm to ensure accurate part placement and thus guarantee product quality. Stability Requirements: The production line needs to operate continuously for extended periods of time, requiring the robot loading and unloading system to exhibit high stability. A mean time between failures (MTBF) of at least 5,000 hours is required to minimize production interruptions caused by equipment failures.

Flexible Production Requirements: The customer's product offerings are diverse, requiring the loading and unloading system to quickly adapt to the loading and unloading of parts of varying sizes and shapes, ensuring a certain level of flexible production capabilities.
