![]() | The machine in the picture on the left is a 4-axis milling machine from one of our partners. The picture on the right is a 4-axis milling machine after it has been retrofitted with our CNC system. Our CNC system solutions: X axis: 1.5kw 6NM Y axis: 1.5kw 6NM Z axis: 2.6kw with brake, 10NM 4 axis milling controller with Panel B+MPG(handle box) Q: Why does the Z axis have brakes? Aw: when power off, braker is clamp shaft, it can avoid Z-axis down as itself gravity. Therefore, we generally recommend that when the Z axis is perpendicular to the ground, it is necessary to add a brake device. | ![]() |
The daily maintenance of CNC system mainly includes the following aspects:
1. Strictly formulate and implement the rules and regulations for the daily maintenance of the CNC system.
According to the performance characteristics of different CNC machine tools, the rules and regulations for the daily maintenance of its CNC system are strictly formulated, and they must be strictly implemented in use and operation.
2. Open the door of the CNC cabinet and the door of the strong electric cabinet as little as possible.
Because the air in the machining workshop often contains oil mist and dust. Once they fall on the printed circuit board or electrical components of the numerical control system, it is easy to cause the insulation resistance of the components to decrease, and even cause damage to the circuit board or electrical components. . Therefore, the door of the numerical control cabinet and the door of the strong electric cabinet should be opened as little as possible during work.
3. Regularly clean the heat dissipation and ventilation system of the CNC device to prevent the CNC device from overheating.
The cooling and ventilation system is an important device to prevent the CNC device from overheating. For this reason, check whether the cooling fans on the CNC cabinet are operating normally, and check whether the air duct filter is blocked every six months or a quarter, and if so, clean it in time.
4. Pay attention to the regular maintenance of the input/output device of the CNC system.
For example, the cleaning of the magnetic head in the input device of the CNC system
5. Regularly check and replace DC motor brushes.
Most of the CNC machine tools produced in the 1980s use DC servo motors, which has the problem of brush wear. For this reason, DC servo motors need to be regularly inspected and replaced. DC motor brushes.
6. Always monitor the grid voltage used by the CNC device.
The CNC system has strict requirements on the working grid voltage. For example, the CNC system produced by FANUC company allows the grid voltage to fluctuate within the range of 85% to 110% of the rated value, otherwise the CNC system will not work normally, and even the electronic components inside the CNC system will be damaged. For this reason, the grid voltage should be checked frequently and controlled within -15% to +10% of the rated value.
7. Regular inspection and replacement of memory battery.
Usually, the storage content in part of the CMOS memory in the CNC system is maintained by battery power when the power is cut off. Lithium batteries or rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries are generally used. When the battery voltage drops to a certain value, it will cause data loss, so check the battery voltage regularly. When the battery voltage drops to a limit value or a battery voltage alarm occurs, the battery must be replaced in time. Generally, when replacing the battery, it should be carried out when the CNC system is powered on, so that the stored parameters will not be lost. Once the data is lost, the parameters can be re-entered after replacing the battery.
8. Maintenance of CNC system when it is not used for a long time.
When the CNC machine tool is idle for a long time, the CNC system should also be maintained regularly. When the machine tool is not powered on, use the backup battery to power the chip and keep the data unchanged. When the voltage of the battery on the machine tool is too low, an alarm prompt will usually be given on the display screen. When not in use for a long time, it is necessary to check whether there is an alarm prompt by powering on frequently, and replace the backup battery in time. Frequent energization can prevent the electrical components from being damp or the printed board from being damp, short-circuited or open-circuited. Machine tools that have not been used for a long time, should be energized at least twice a week. The specific method is:
First of all, the CNC system should be powered on frequently, and the machine tool should be allowed to run dry when the machine tool is locked. Secondly, in the rainy season when the air humidity is high, the CNC system should be energized every day, so that the heat of the electrical components can be used to drive away the moisture in the CNC cabinet to ensure stable and reliable performance of the electrical components. Production practice has proved that if the CNC machine tool has not been used for a long time, it is often prone to failure as soon as it is turned on after the rainy day.
In addition, for CNC machine tools using DC servo motors, if they are not used for more than half a year, the brushes of the motor should be removed to avoid corrosion on the surface of the commutator due to chemical corrosion and ensure commutation performance.
9. Maintenance of Spare Printed Circuit Boards.
For the purchased spare printed circuit boards, they should be regularly installed on the CNC device and powered on for a period of time to prevent damage.
10. Processing when CNC fails.
Once the CNC system fails, the operator should take emergency stop measures to stop the system and protect the site. And assist the maintenance personnel to do the pre-maintenance preparations.
