In addition to the welding main body, the welding robot must also use the welding fixture, because it can accurately position the weldment, facilitate the welding and ensure the accuracy, help to improve product quality, and at the same time reduce the labor of workers .

As a fixture for welding robots, it is naturally not as simple as other equipment, and must meet certain design requirements before it can be applied. For example, the surface quality of the weldment should not be damaged when the fixture of the welding robot is clamped. Especially when clamping thin parts, the clamping force should be limited or the stroke limit of the indenter should be adopted, the contact area of the indenter should be increased, and the contact area of the indenter should be increased. Measures such as copper and aluminum bushings ensure reliable clamping and proper rigidity.

Not only the surface quality, but also the positioning position and geometry of the welding cannot be affected by the fixture of the welding robot. Great stress, this is the most basic.

Secondly, the force application point of the welding robot fixture should be located at the support of the weldment or arranged close to the support, and it is necessary to prevent the support reaction force and clamping force, support reaction force and gravity from forming a force couple. In order to facilitate control, on the same fixture, the structural forms of the positioner and the clamping mechanism should not be too many, and only one power source should be selected as far as possible.

Since it is used in conjunction with a welding robot, it should move quickly and be easy to operate, and the operating position should be in the most accessible and easy-to-operate position for workers. When the fixture is in the clamped state, it should be able to lock itself; at the same time, there should be enough space for assembly and welding, and all positioning elements and clamping mechanisms should keep an appropriate distance from the welding bead.

In addition to the above characteristics, the fixture of welding robot plays a very important role in automation and mechanization. It is the key to whether the welding work can achieve high-speed, high-efficiency, precision, compound, intelligent, and environmental protection.
