Classification of milling machines
Common milling machines are divided into the following types:
1. Hand-operated milling machine: Because it is cheap and easy to operate, the hand-operated milling machine is suitable for simple machining work. It can be operated manually, but requires some experience and skills.
2.CNC milling machine: CNC milling machine is a relatively common piece of equipment in modern factories. Due to its precision and high production capacity, CNC milling machines can complete a variety of complex machining jobs.
3.Ordinary milling machines: Ordinary milling machines usually operate in a traditional mechanical manner. This kind of equipment is more suitable for processing simpler and smaller items.
Milling machine principle
Although different types of milling machines differ in construction and design, they all use the same basic principle of holding a workpiece on the table and locking the milling cutter in the tool holder. Next, start the spindle and the knife will rotate at high speed to remove the excess part of the workpiece.
Another milling machine principle uses a conveyor belt and a cutter wheel. The workpiece and cutter wheel are moved on the conveyor belt and rotate at different speeds, so that workpieces of different sizes and shapes can be obtained.
Advantages of milling machines
Milling machines have many advantages over other machine tools. These advantages include:
1. Milling machines can process various metal and non-metal materials.
2. Milling machines can produce workpieces of any shape and size, no matter how complex they are.
3. Milling machines can perform work at different depths, different cutting speeds and with high processing speeds.
4.Milling machines are very durable during production and can run continuously for long periods of time.
5.Milling machines can be equipped with a variety of milling cutters to perform cutting and machining work in a variety of shapes as needed.
