FAQ

  • Q Can our own electricians connect the machine?

    A
Yes, qualified electricians can perform the power connection following our wiring diagrams. The machine ships with documentation; our engineer can remotely verify the connection before first power-on.

  • Q What foundation does a SZGH-46J CNC lathe need?

    A
SZGH-46J requires a concrete C30 foundation, minimum 200 mm thick, leveled to ±1 mm/m. Floor loading capacity should be at least 3,500 kg. We provide detailed foundation drawings before shipment.

  • Q Do you send engineers to install the machine on-site?

    A
Yes, on-site engineering support is available globally. Engineer-Assisted Install (5–7 days) and Turn-Key Integration (longer) tiers include on-site commissioning. For self-install, we provide free remote support via video call.

  • Q How long does it take to install a SZGH CNC machine?

    A
A standard CNC lathe or milling machine takes 3–5 days from delivery to first production part, including foundation positioning, electrical connection, leveling, commissioning, and basic operator training. Integrated CNC + Robot cells typically take 2–4 weeks.

  • Q Can I start small and add more robots later?

    A
Yes. Many customers start with one CNC + loading robot, then add more cells as ROI proves out. SZGH lines are modular and scalable.

  • Q What's the typical ROI on a CNC + robot integration project?

    A
For a typical small-batch shop running 2 shifts, payback is 18–24 months. For 24/7 operations, payback drops to 12–18 months. We provide custom ROI calculations during the quote phase.

  • Q How is "integration" different from "buying a CNC and a robot separately"?

    A
True integration means the CNC and robot share programs, status signals, alarms, and safety circuits natively — without third-party PLCs or middleware. SZGH controllers handle this out of the box.

  • Q Can SZGH integrate with CNC machines from other brands?

    A
Yes — our robots support common industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet). However, integration with our own CNC machines is faster, more reliable, and lower cost. We recommend SZGH CNC + SZGH robot for new lines.

  • Q How does the robot handle different panel sizes?

    A
Programs are stored per SKU. Operator selects the program for the loaded panel size. Vision systems can be added for automatic size detection on mixed-batch lines.

  • Q Do I need an explosion-proof robot for water-based paint?

    A
Generally no. Water-based paints can use the standard SZGH 6-axis spraying robot. Solvent-based paints require the explosion-proof variant for safety compliance.
