At 2,300 mm, the T2300-3C-6 provides the greatest working radius available among SZGH T-series robots rated at 30 kg. This extended reach allows the robot to envelope and process the complete outer contour of large castings or forgings without repositioning fixtures — a critical requirement for deburring applications where tool contact must be maintained continuously around irregular profiles.
The T2300-3C-6 is built with enhanced structural rigidity throughout the main body and forearm. During deburring and grinding operations, cutting forces transmitted back through the tool can induce vibration and positional drift in lower-rigidity designs. The T2300-3C-6's reinforced construction maintains stable tool contact pressure across the full reach envelope, producing consistent surface quality even on irregular contours.
A 30 kg rated payload accommodates heavy spindle motors, floating tool heads, and combined deburring/drilling assemblies without approaching the rated limit — leaving a load margin for tool wear compensation and unforeseen force peaks. Many deburring spindles and drilling heads in this process class weigh 8–18 kg, meaning the T2300-3C-6 handles the tool and its reaction forces with comfort.
The T2300-3C-6's wrist configuration (Axis 5: +30°/−240°; Axis 6: ±360°) enables the tool to approach surfaces from virtually any angle, making it practical to mount both a deburring spindle and a drilling head on a single end-of-arm platform and complete both operations in one cell — eliminating the manual transfer step between deburring and drilling stations.
The full ±175° Axis 1 rotation allows a single T2300-3C-6 to serve two workpiece fixtures — one being loaded while the other is processed — enabling near-continuous throughput without idle time waiting for part exchange.

One of the most satisfying projects I have been involved in recently was with an automotive casting plant in Romania. They were machining iron radiator housings — irregular shapes, varying wall thicknesses, dozens of internal and external burr lines per part. The deburring and spot-drilling work had been entirely manual: a skilled worker with an angle grinder and a handheld drill, spending about 8 minutes per housing.
The challenge they brought to us was not just cycle time. The parts were large enough that a standard 1,800 mm or 2,000 mm reach robot could not cover the entire outer contour in a single fixture setup — they would have had to reposition the part mid-process, introducing re-fixturing error and adding handling time. They needed something that could envelop the complete workpiece perimeter from a single mount point.
The T2300-3C-6's 2,300 mm reach was the key. Once we confirmed the workpiece envelope fit within the robot's reach cylinder, we designed a combined end-of-arm tool carrying both a compliant deburring spindle and a servo-controlled drilling head. The robot processes the full deburring path and then executes all drilling positions in one continuous program — no part move, no tool swap station required.
The result: single-piece processing time dropped from 8 minutes to 2.5 minutes, a 69% reduction. More importantly, the quality consistency index they track (a custom internal metric based on dimensional inspection pass rate) rose from 84% to 97% within the first month of operation. When they called to tell me that, I was genuinely proud of the team that built this machine.
The T2300-3C-6 is designed for use with the SZGH-CNC series robot controller, which provides:
6-axis coordinated motion with continuous-path (CP) mode for smooth deburring tool trajectories
Force/torque sensor interface option for adaptive deburring pressure control
EtherCAT / Modbus TCP / Profibus fieldbus protocols for PLC and process controller integration
Teach pendant with colour touchscreen, macro programming, and trajectory recording
Spindle speed output control (0–10 V analog) for direct integration with grinding/deburring spindle drives
Collision detection and configurable soft-limit zones per axis
Remote diagnostics via LAN
End-of-Arm Tooling: The ISO 9283-compliant wrist flange supports deburring spindles, pneumatic floating heads, drilling spindles, and combined multi-function tools. SZGH recommends compliant (floating) tool mounts for cast iron deburring to compensate for workpiece dimensional variation.
Dust & Chip Management: For casting deburring applications, SZGH recommends enclosing the work cell with a dust extraction hood and providing IP54-rated protection on all robot connectors. Consult SZGH for application-specific protection options.

Q1. What payload can the SZGH-T2300-3C-6 carry at full 2,300 mm reach?
The T2300-3C-6 is rated at 30 kg throughout its full working range, including at maximum 2,300 mm extension. This is sufficient to carry most deburring spindles, drilling heads, or combined tool assemblies used in industrial finishing applications.
Q2. Is the T2300-3C-6 suitable for deburring highly irregular cast iron parts?
Yes — this is the robot's primary design intent. The 2,300 mm reach, high body rigidity, and wide wrist range (Axis 5: +30°/−240°; Axis 6: ±360°) allow the tool to follow irregular contours from virtually any approach angle. Pairing the robot with a compliant (floating) deburring spindle compensates for workpiece dimension variation typical in castings.
Q3. Can the T2300-3C-6 handle both deburring and drilling in one setup?
Yes. The 30 kg payload accommodates a combined end-of-arm tool platform carrying both a deburring spindle and a drilling head simultaneously. The robot can execute the full deburring path and all drilling positions in a single continuous program without part re-fixturing.
Q4. How does the T2300-3C-6 compare to the T2950-3C-6?
Both share the same 30 kg payload and ±0.15 mm repeatability. The T2300-3C-6 has a shorter reach (2,300 mm vs. 2,950 mm) but a wider Axis 1 swing (±175° vs. ±100°), making it more versatile for deburring cell layouts where the robot needs to serve multiple fixture positions. The T2950-3C-6 is optimised for single-direction deep-reach tasks such as large injection moulding machine service.
Q5. What repeatability does the T2300-3C-6 achieve?
The T2300-3C-6 delivers ±0.15 mm repeatability. For deburring and surface finishing applications — where tool compliance absorbs minor positional variation — this is more than adequate. For applications requiring tighter tolerances, consider the T2100-E-6 at ±0.1 mm.
Q6. What fieldbus protocols does the SZGH controller support for this robot?
The SZGH-CNC series controller supports EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, and Profibus, covering the vast majority of PLC brands used in European and Asian manufacturing facilities. Additional protocol options can be discussed at the specification stage.
Q7. Does SZGH provide application engineering support for deburring cell design?
Yes. SZGH's export engineering team can review your workpiece drawings, recommend end-of-arm tooling suppliers, and provide cell layout proposals as part of the pre-sales process. Contact export02@szghtech.com with your part drawings and production requirement.
Q8. What industries outside of casting finishing use the T2300-3C-6?
Beyond casting and forging deburring, the T2300-3C-6 is used in heavy equipment fabrication (structural bracket finishing), agricultural machinery production, railway component machining, and energy-sector pump/valve body finishing — any application requiring high-rigidity extended-reach processing of large metal workpieces.
