5 Core Advantages

±0.02 mm — Highest Precision in the Easy Series

At ±0.02 mm repeat positioning, the SZGH-0907-A delivers accuracy that is on par with premium industrial robots — not typical collaborative robots. For MIG/TIG/MAG welding on motorcycle brackets, thin-wall tubes, or precision structural parts, this means every weld lands in the same position, every cycle, without operator correction. No other model in the SZGH collaborative welding line achieves this tolerance.

3,000 mm/s Tool Speed — Cobot Safety, Industrial Throughput

Traditional collaborative robots operate at 1,000–1,500 mm/s to comply with safety standards. The SZGH-0907-A runs at 3,000 mm/s — up to 3× faster — while still passing all human-robot collaboration safety requirements. The result: the safety profile of a cobot with the cycle time of an industrial robot. No other Easy Series compromise.

IP65 Whole-Body Protection — Not Just Sealed Joints

The SZGH-0907-A is rated IP65 across the entire robot body — not just joint seals. Weld spatter, grinding dust, coolant mist, and outdoor humidity cannot penetrate the enclosure. Conventional industrial welding robots offer partial protection at best. For foundries, fabrication shops, and outdoor structure welding, this is the difference between annual maintenance and daily downtime.

6-Button Drag Teaching — Any Welder Becomes a Robot Programmer

Physical drag-and-drop path recording requires no programming background whatsoever. A welder manually guides the arm through the desired weld path, presses record, and the robot replicates it indefinitely. Six clearly labeled buttons on the teach handle cover all programming functions: record, pause, play, speed adjust, waypoint insert, and save. Measured in customer deployments: average teach time for a new weld path is under 20 minutes.

XI Black Box + 100-Point Safety Self-Check + 10-Level Collision Protection

The industry-first XI Black Box records complete motion data, joint states, current, and error codes before and after every fault — just like an aircraft flight recorder. Remote engineers diagnose issues without on-site visits, slashing after-sales cost. The 100-point pre-run safety self-check detects hardware and software faults before the robot moves. Ten-level adjustable collision sensitivity means the robot stops immediately on human contact, maintaining compliance at collaborative workcells — even if the robot cable is physically cut, the arm stops safely and holds position.

Customer Story — By Fannie Chen, CEO, SZGH

I remember exactly what the owner of that motorcycle parts factory in Ho Chi Minh City said when he first stopped at our booth:

"I don't need a robot to replace my workers. I need a robot that helps the workers I still have do better, and easier."

That sentence stayed with me. His factory had about 40 people, nine welding stations, one welder per station. His real problem was not productivity — it was knowledge. Skilled welders were harder and harder to keep. Young workers didn't want the job. When a master welder retired, the technique was gone with them.

We ran a live demonstration at his factory floor. One of his welders physically guided the SZGH-0907-A arm along a bracket weld path. It took less than 20 minutes to record the full sequence. The robot then executed that path — repeatedly, identically, at the same quality every cycle. The welder became a teacher and quality inspector, not a torch operator. Physical fatigue dropped. Because every pass was geometrically identical, the weld bead appearance was actually more consistent than hand-welding.

He deployed three units across three stations. Output rose by approximately 60%. Turnover at those stations dropped, because the work was less physically demanding. Several months later, he sent me a message. His father — the factory founder — had come to visit. He walked the floor, looked at the robots, watched the welders working alongside them, and said: "You did the right thing."

That is what the SZGH-0907-A is built for.

Control System & Integration

XI Controller — The Brain Behind Every Easy Series Robot

The SZGH Easy Series is driven by the XI (Xing-Intelligence) controller, purpose-built for welding cobot applications:

  • EtherCAT bus at 1 KHz: deterministic real-time motion, no jitter, synchronized multi-axis coordination

  • Up to 15 external axes: connect rotary positioners, linear tracks, or dual-arm configurations on one controller

  • XI Black Box (industry first): continuously logs all joint positions, motor currents, I/O states, and error codes to non-volatile memory. When a fault occurs, the complete pre-fault and post-fault data record is available instantly for remote diagnosis — no engineer site visit required

  • Drag-and-Drop Teaching via 6-button handle: record, play, pause, waypoint edit, speed scale, and path save — all from the handle at the robot tip

  • 100-point startup self-check: runs automatically before every power-on. Detects servo faults, encoder errors, brake failures, and cable continuity issues before the robot moves

  • 10-level collision sensitivity: fully adjustable for workpiece type and collaboration intensity. At maximum sensitivity, a 5 N contact force triggers a stop

Vision Integration

The SZGH-0907-A natively supports 2D and 3D vision through the tool port (EtherCAT + RS485 + AI×2):

  • 2D camera: seam tracking, workpiece presence detection, bead inspection

  • 3D structured light / point cloud: 3D seam location, weld gap measurement, pre-weld alignment

  • No third-party middleware required — the XI controller provides vision SDK hooks out of the box

SZGH-0907-AW — Complete Welding Package

The AW variant ships with:

  • SZGH-0907-A robot arm

  • Matched MIG/MAG welding power source (SZGH-W series)

  • XI controller pre-configured for welding I/O

  • Welding torch bracket and cable management kit

  • Pre-loaded welding process templates (carbon steel / stainless / aluminum)

Weld the day it arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is the difference between the SZGH-0907-A and a traditional industrial welding robot?

A traditional industrial welding robot — such as the SZGH H or HZ series — operates inside a full safety enclosure, requires a dedicated robot programmer to set up, and is optimized for high-volume single-product runs. The SZGH-0907-A is a collaborative welding robot: it works alongside human operators without fencing, can be taught a new weld path in under 20 minutes via drag teaching, and is designed for multi-variant small-batch production. Both are industrial-grade; the choice depends on whether your process needs human-robot collaboration or fully autonomous isolation.

Q2: What does IP65 protection actually mean for a welding environment?

IP65 means the robot is fully dust-tight (no ingress of any dust particles) and protected against water jets from any direction. In a welding context, this directly translates to resistance against heavy weld spatter, grinding debris, coolant mist, and light washdown. The SZGH-0907-A's IP65 rating applies to the entire robot body — not just individual joint seals. This eliminates the spatter-related joint failures that are the single most common maintenance issue with conventional welding robots.

Q3: How long does it take a welder to learn drag teaching?

In customer deployments across Southeast Asia and Europe, welders with no prior robot experience have successfully programmed their first weld path in under 20 minutes. The 6-button teach handle uses the same physical intuition as hand-welding: move the torch where you want it, press record, do the motion, press save. No menus, no code, no laptop. Full proficiency — including multi-pass and re-teach operations — is typically reached within two to three working days.

Q4: Can the SZGH-0907-A operate without a safety cage?

Yes. The robot is designed for human-collaborative workcells. The 10-level adjustable collision detection, 100-point startup self-check, and CE/CR/NRTL certifications meet the requirements for human-robot collaboration under ISO/TS 15066. The robot stops safely even if the main cable is physically cut. Site-specific risk assessment is still required as per applicable local regulations, but a full safety enclosure is not mandated by the robot's design or certifications.

Q5: What welding processes does the SZGH-0907-A support?

The SZGH-0907-A mechanically and electrically supports MIG, TIG, MAG, and laser welding torches. The tool port provides 24V/1A power, DI/DO I/O for torch trigger and arc-on feedback, AI×2 for current/voltage sensing, and RS485 for digital welding source integration. The SZGH-0907-AW package ships pre-configured for MIG/MAG; TIG and laser require welding source selection at order time.

Q6: What is the XI Black Box, and how does it reduce maintenance cost?

The XI Black Box is SZGH's proprietary fault data recorder — the first of its kind in the collaborative robot market. It continuously writes joint angles, motor currents, I/O states, and controller logs to onboard non-volatile storage. When a fault stops the robot, the data from the seconds before and after the fault is immediately available via network export. A remote SZGH engineer can diagnose the root cause — servo overload, joint limit breach, external axis sync error — without traveling to the customer site. In practice, this resolves 80%+ of customer support cases remotely, typically within the same business day.

Q7: Can the SZGH-0907-A be mounted upside-down or on a wall?

Yes. The "arbitrary angle" installation mode means the robot can be floor-mounted, ceiling-mounted, wall-mounted, or installed at any intermediate angle without hardware modification. The controller's gravity compensation algorithm automatically adjusts for the mounting orientation. Ceiling-mount is particularly useful for compact weld cells where floor space is limited.

Q8: Is the ±0.02 mm repeatability maintained over the full temperature range of -5°C to 55°C?

Yes. The ±0.02 mm specification is the guaranteed repeat positioning accuracy across the full operating temperature envelope of -5°C to 55°C. Thermal compensation is handled in the XI controller firmware. This temperature range is significantly wider than conventional collaborative robots (typically 5°C to 45°C), making the SZGH-0907-A suitable for unheated workshops in cold climates and high-ambient factory environments in tropical regions.
